Shipping & Delivery Policy

Delivery Areas
Institch Design & Upholstery delivers Australia-wide. Delivery availability and pricing are assessed individually based on the product, order size, destination and access requirements.
Delivery Quotes
As many of our pieces are custom-made and oversized, shipping is not calculated automatically at checkout. A delivery quote will be provided and confirmed before your order is finalised.
Additional charges may apply for regional or remote locations, difficult access, stairs, lifts, restricted loading areas or other special delivery requirements.
Standard Delivery
Unless otherwise stated in your delivery quote, our standard service is delivery to the front door of the nominated address.
Standard delivery does not include unpacking, assembly, installation, positioning within the premises or removal of packaging.
White-Glove Delivery and Installation
White-glove delivery, placement, assembly and installation may be arranged where required. These services are quoted separately and assessed case by case according to the item, location, site conditions and work involved.
Only services specifically listed in your accepted delivery quote are included.
Delivery Timeframes
As our furniture is made to order, estimated production and delivery timeframes will be confirmed for each order.
We will contact you when your order is ready to arrange delivery. Any delivery date provided is an estimate and may be affected by production requirements, carrier availability, weather, access restrictions or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We will keep you informed if a significant delay occurs.
Access Requirements
Customers are responsible for checking that products will fit through all relevant doorways, hallways, stairways, lifts and access points.
Any access restrictions—including stairs, narrow entrances, lift bookings, loading zones, limited parking or site-specific requirements—must be disclosed before accepting the delivery quote.
Additional costs arising from incomplete or inaccurate access information may be charged to the customer.
Receiving Your Delivery
An authorised person must be present at the agreed address and time to accept delivery.
If delivery cannot be completed because nobody is available, access is unsuitable or site conditions differ from the information provided, the customer may be responsible for redelivery, storage and associated carrier charges.
Inspection and Transit Damage
Please inspect your furniture as soon as possible after delivery.
Any visible damage, missing items or suspected transit damage should be reported to Institch within 48 hours of delivery. Please include:
-
Your name and order number
-
A description of the issue
-
Clear photographs of the product
-
Photographs of the packaging, where applicable
Reporting within 48 hours helps us investigate the matter promptly with the delivery provider. This timeframe does not limit any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Workshop Collection
Orders may be collected from our Ingleburn workshop by prior arrangement.
Customers collecting an order are responsible for providing a suitable vehicle, protective materials and appropriate assistance to load, secure and transport the furniture safely.
Risk of damage caused during or after customer-arranged collection or transportation rests with the customer, except to the extent that the damage was caused by Institch or otherwise covered by the Australian Consumer Law.
